Animals adopted by an agency become part of their stable, for work in the future, as the old Hollywood studio system.

  1. their stable, for work in the future, as
  2. their stable, for work in the future, not unlike
  3. its stable, for work in the future, as
  4. their stable, for work in the future, like
  5. its stable, for work in the future, not unlike

Explanation

You can see that this is a pronoun problem because their changes to its in some of the answers.

In this case the pronoun refers to an agency which is singular and so the pronoun should be "its".

This eliminates A, B and D which all use the pronoun their.

This is also a comparison problem which you can see from the changes between as, like and not unlike.

In this case you are comparing things the current use of animals in films with the old Hollywood system for actors and so should use like or not unlike.

This eliminates C which uses as.

Therefore E is the correct answer.
